Welcome to Deddington Festival 2018! We're back and we're looking forward to making this year's Festival the best yet.
This year's packed programme of fun for all ages will run from Thursday, June 7 to Sunday, June 10.
As well as old favourites such as Deddy Jazz, Deddy Rocks, the Art Exhibition and the Writing Competition, we’ve got plans for some exciting new events, and we'll be building on the phenomenal success of two events run for the first time last year - the Children's Festival and Deddy-Car-Fest.
More information on the proposed programme will follow soon, so watch this space – and don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news.
In the meantime, why not take a moment to relive the best moments of Deddy Fest 2017, kindly shot for us by our Photographic Society friends and other amateur photographers, as well as the fabulous short films made for us by film-maker extraordinaire Emma Spellman, of Oojamaflick.
And don't forget, we're always keen to welcome new members on the Deddington Festival Committee so, if you think you can help us make this and future Festivals even more fabulous, please do get in touch!
Deddington Festival is delighted to announce that the undoubted stars of last year’s Festival, a Cappella sensations All the King’s Men, are returning this year.
AtKM will be performing at Deddington Parish Church on Sunday, 10 June - and once again they are giving you the chance to sing with them at a workshop starting at 5pm. This will be followed by a concert at 7pm.
AtKM’s astonishing vocal colour and arresting, creative choreography has thrilled audiences across the globe, earning them an international reputation, from South Korea to Moscow and the USA.
The group’s success reached new heights last summer, when they became runners up on BBC One's brand new singing show, 'Pitch Battle!', performing for millions of people at home alongside stars such as Seal, Chaka Khan, and Joe Jonas.
The only British a Cappella group to have reached the finals of the International Championships of Collegiate A Cappella in New York City three times, All the King’s Men made another first for British vocal music when they travelled to Russia to play the Moscow Music Festival last April, a visit they hope to make tradition when they travel back there this May.
The group’s 2017 Edinburgh Fringe saw them sell out 21 consecutive shows, and their latest music video was honoured with four nominations and two commendations at the 2018 LA A Capella Video Awards.
