Welcome to Deddington Festival
Welcome to the Deddington Festival 2012. We are now in our 10th year (since we began in 2003!)
The inspiration for the Deddington Festival is the ambition to include, entertain and inspire the people of Deddington, Clifton & Hempton though an annual Festival of events of art, literature and music; to bring together all ages and groups of the local community to join in this summer time Festival to celebrate our community.
This year we start on June 14th with the Friends of Deddington Festival reception, followed by the much loved Deddington Rocks, the flagship event of the Festival, our beloved evening rock concert in the Market Square. This year promises another rocking line of local and national acts to boogie on down, we cant promise the weather, but we can promise the atmosphere which has proved a huge success over the years, with all ages, come rain or shine. This year does promise, once again, not to disappoint! This is a free event, all are welcome.
We also have our regular Jazz concert in the Church as well as The Mikado in Concert and an evening to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's reign - come and sing and dance to music over the last 60 years. The Festival finishes with the Deddington Village Nursery summer ball at the Windmill on 7th July. Tickets are available from The Flower Shop, Hamptons and on the Church door on the night, get your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
The Open Gardens, Farm Walk with George Fenemore at Home Farm, Clifton, the Art Workshop, Guitar Recital and Teas in the Church are all also back by popular demand and are being held over the Festival period of the last two weeks of June.
About Deddington Festival
Whilst the Deddington Festival is about events, inclusion and community spirit to celebrate our wonderful village, we also aim to raise some funds for our community through these wonderful events. Currently the long term beneficaries of the Deddington Festival charity is the Deddington Village Nursery and Preschool. Come and support us!
